As natural and man-made disasters become more common and complex, there is a greater need to improve the communication and coordination between the various organizations tasked with managing these disasters. We have established this unique multidisciplinary master’s program to foster expertise in managing disasters and mass-casualty events.
This one year, English taught, program is designed to promote expertise in managing mass-casualty events and other disasters. Coursework focuses on practical and theoretical aspects of emergency and disaster management, as well as communication and coordination with national and international agencies that provide aid to distressed populations. Participating students have access to some of the most renowned authorities on emergency and disaster management in the field. Upon graduation, students will be equipped with a broad and comprehensive understanding and vision of disaster management. In recent years, students have transitioned into careers in NGOs, emergency management departments, international aid organizations, the United Nations, humanitarian organizations, security organizations, and more.
