Children are some of the world’s most sensitive, inquisitive, and intuitive beings. The International MA Program in Child Development at the University of Haifa was established with one goal in mind – to improve the lives of this valuable and beloved population, especially those at risk around the world. The program aims to equip the next generation of international experts to adequately address pressing questions concerning child development and the lives of children who occupy developing countries.

Participants in this program will study at the only comprehensive research university in Northern Israel, which is also known as the most pluralistic university in the country. Students will share the hallways and classrooms with 18,000 students, including Jews, Christians, Muslim Arabs, Druze, Bedouins, as well immigrants and native Israelis.
The university offers many extra-curricular activities such as tours of ecological and cultural sites. Students can attend visiting lectures concerning topics like politics, security, religion, and life in Israel. Students are also encouraged to take advantage of volunteer opportunities on and off campus. For those who wish to observe the Sabbath or other holidays, the university can connect students with a local family to share in these traditions.
