Did you know that Israel is at the forefront in water and renewable energy management and boasts global leadership in developing new sustainable technologies? Israel’s forward-thinking, “start-up nation” business climate makes the University of Haifa the perfect place to examine the dichotomy of environmentally focused initiatives and a bustling business culture.
This program focuses on social and environmental sustainability and provides students with the theoretical and practical tools for business management. The Global Green MBA program’s rigorous academic curriculum is a powerful force in combination with a lively and driven international student population. The program is comprised of 20 core courses in Business Administration and Environmental Management and Sustainability. Students will then take two further elective courses under the Environmental Management and Sustainability umbrella and participate in an applied project to round out their education.
This isn’t your typical MBA. Though students will be exposed to standard MBA coursework in economics, accounting, investments, marketing, etc., the curriculum takes a step further to cover principles in sustainability. Participants will learn to evaluate projects through the lens of environmental laws, what management systems to use, an in-depth look at a CSR, and how those projects affect their surrounding environments.
The University of Haifa is the only comprehensive research university in Northern Israel, which is also known as the most pluralistic university in the country. Students will share the hallways and classrooms with 18,000 students, including Jews, Christians, Muslim Arabs, Druze, Bedouins, as well immigrants and native Israelis. The university offers many extra-curricular activities such as tours of ecological and cultural sites and a wide array of volunteer opportunities on and off campus.
