“My major was in environmental economics. I wanted to intern somewhere that has to do with my area of study – I’m interested in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and how environmental issues mitigate conflict. The other major thing was that I liked that it wasn’t just Israeli Jews or Americans here – diversity is an integral part of the program.”

“I grew up taking trips to Israel with my family and from a young age, I knew I wanted to move here. Masa was the help I needed to take the leap I had been dreaming about. After my program, I joined the IDF, learned Hebrew, and found a deeper connection with my Jewish identity. Israel is my now and forever home, and the connection I have to the people, the culture, the language and the religion is what makes it so special.”
